Last shopping day

It's now less than a week until I head off on my sort-of world tour! Unlike any holiday I've been on before, I wish it were longer. Three months touring six continents is hardly a week in the Cotswolds. There's a lot to sort out both at home and in work, both for what I'm taking away and what I'm leaving behind.

I'm stressed. Planning this thing has been somewhat of a nightmare and feels very rushed. Still, I've taken care of visas, vaccinations and the car's MOT which is due while I'm away. The flights are booked as is most of the accommodation. I've applied for debit and credit cards that don't charge for transactions abroad. I'm good to go!

Oh, except for travel insurance.

And sandals.

And my plant which obviously needs looking after while I'm away.

Actually, I'm far from ready. And today is my last shopping day before I'm gone. I need to make a serious dent in my packing today and ideally get the rest of my accommodation booked; I only have a couple of cities left to book for, I think.

I'm excited. The world isn't that small at all. I've not seen much and that's all about to change in three short months. Who knows what will happen or where I'll go or who I'll meet?

I'm scared.
