Nice hill

Thank goodness Alex knocked on my door or I would have slept for days. A 16-hour change is jetlag to the max!

Pedants who say that a 12-hour change is worse can kindly leave.

Alex and I headed out to Los Heroes while Evin had his cold seen to by a doctor. Don´t ask. At breakfast, we were once again shafted, expecting a lovely plate of greasy chips, bacon and eggs like everyone else but winding up with ´mystery meat´ in a small roll. But it was food, and was just what we needed to nurse a small hangover.

The day was virtually over when Evin got back. There was just enough light to take the fenicular to the top of the hill near Bellavista and look out over Santiago with the snowcapped Andes in the distance. It was beautiful and exactly what I expected Santiago to be.
